Dear Owners,
It has been great to see so many of you in the first two weeks of our season. On behalf of all the team at La Carabasse, we hope that you are really pleased with the parc and that you are prepared for a fantastic 2008 (we are working on the weather!).
Regarding our opening dates, we are still waiting for an official response from the Prefecture. We are continuing to chase for feedback and will contact all owners when we have more information.
We have created a leaflet outlining details of our efforts to extend the opening dates at La Carabasse. This is being given to owners as they arrive at La Carabasse, but if you would prefer that we send you a copy, please email your postal address to carabassequestions@siblu.com.

We are continuing to maintain our dialogue with the relevant local authorities to achieve longer opening dates at La Carabasse. At the moment we have no new information to report but we hope to have an update for you soon.

Unfortunately there is no new information to add to our letter from 29 February. We are continuing to press for feedback to our request to extend the dates at La Carabasse and we will contact all owners when we receive news.

La Carabasse owners update - February 29th, 2008
Dear Owners,
The 2008 season at La Carabasse is approaching, so below I have outlined new information about our opening dates, provided details of our first opening party for Owners and a reminder of our preferential offer for those who want to travel to France before 15 April.
Opening update
In November we sent you your 2008 contract, which included details of the opening dates at La Carabasse for this year. Unfortunately, in this document we included an opening date of 12 April, which was a mistake.
As you know we have been lobbying the local authorities to extend the opening dates at La Carabasse, however we have not yet received an official decision from them. For this reason, our opening date for this year is still 15 April 2008. The closing date is 15 September 2008.
This was a genuine mistake which we apologise for. We were made aware of our error at the beginning of February, but we took the decision not to notify owners at that time as we have been expecting to hear news of our plans for new opening dates.
If you have already made plans to stay at La Carabasse from 12 April, we can help in two ways:
1. We will repay travel costs that cannot be refunded by the provider, or
2. We will organise alternative accommodation from 12 to 15 April at a local hotel
If you have already booked travel, please contact Damien Lohe, our Owner’s Exclusif rep at La Carabasse, on 0033 4.67.21.59.93 or damien.lohe@siblu.fr, with details of your journey. To finalise your claim, you will need to send copies of receipts for bookings made before 29 February 2008 to Damian.
This week we received further confirmation from the prefecture that they are still considering our request following representations that we have made. We will keep you informed of their position.
Season opening owner’s party
This year, to start the season with a bang, we will be hosting our first opening party for all owners, swinging into action on 3 May 2008. We’ll bring the music and entertainment, you just need to bring your dancing shoes! This is your first chance to catch up with friends, neighbours and the 2008 La Carabasse team. I hope we’ll see you there.

As advised in our recent communications, we are still waiting for the local authorities to make a decision about the opening dates at La Carabasse for 2008.
We know that many of you are frustrated by the time that this process is taking, however we remain hopeful that a decision will be forthcoming soon.
